JEANINNE
Jeaninne has been working with us for 4 years and has over 30 years of experience in floristry. Jeaninne started work in London with one of the most respected florists of the time working on top London weddings including Princess Diana’s wedding bouquet.
After several years in London Jeaninne decided to live in America to gain experience in the US flower industry. There she worked for a company specialising in large weddings and functions.
With this fantastic experience and background Jeaninne was perfect for Jades.
JAN
Jan has been working with me since Jades started some 20 years ago. She comes from an administration background organising courses and workshops and is extremely good with people. One of Jan’s best qualities is being able to chat to the bride and grooms at exhibitions and really get a feel of what they require for their wedding flowers. Jan also works in the studio with us and sets up the larger functions. As she has so much experience in setting up functions she is an extremely valuable and capable member of our team.
TRACY
Tracy joined us in 2008 and works mainly in the office dealing with typing quotes and the general admin of the office. Tracy has an extensive secretarial background and this experience keeps the office running smoothly. Tracy also assists at wedding fayres and enjoys chatting to the brides. She also enjoys working on and setting up the large events as she really enjoys seeing everything come together on the big day.
About Us
Jades Flower Design was founded by Beverley Nichols, more than 20 years ago.
Beverley started her training at a well recognised horticultural college in Hertfordshire where she qualified in City and Guilds. Beverley’s zest for her craft has inspired her to take further private courses over the years, enabling her to reach the qualification of ICSF (the Intermediate Certificate of the Society of Floristry, which is one of the highest floristry qualifications in the Country).
Beverley’s enthusiasm for what she does is not only evident in her wonderful designs but is also reflected in the countless accolades and testimonials of delighted clients. For Beverley any wedding / event is a delight and a pleasure and she has worked with many special couples including celebrities which has helped to keep Jades Flower Design as vital and exciting as Beverley always intended it to be.
Beverley works with a wonderful team of dedicated and talented assistants although she insists on carrying out all the main arrangements for each wedding herself.
Beverley's Biography
Beverley Nichols of Jades Flower Design (www.jadesflowers.co.uk) has been a qualified florist since 1989 where she studied at the Oaklands Horticultural College in Hertfordshire, alongside several private courses. Beverley obtained the ICFS (Intermediate Certificate Society of Floristry) in the early 90’s which is the second highest qualification in England. Throughout the years she has attended numerous specialist courses to ensure she retains her position as the wedding flower expert in her area. Recently she has begun teaching others to create similar beautiful arrangements in their home or for their wedding day.
Beverley’s career started by working with other florists and managing local florist shops, she then moved onto freelancing in London for some of the UK’s best known florists. Beverley launched Jades in 1989 during which time Beverley combined freelancing with running her own business.
Over the years Beverley has worked on Royal and celebrity weddings and events at all of the top London and country venues and private homes. She has a flair for creating breathtaking arrangements with large displays a speciality. Her spectacular and unusual designs incorporate a wide range of items that are available to hire from candelabras and beautiful vases through to stone ornaments. The aim of Jades has always been to create a totally individual unique look for the client whether it is a wedding or party – Beverley believes that the clients’ personality should be reflected in the design along with styling the flowers to suit the venue.
Beverley specialises in event floristry which means she does not have the day to day constraints of running a shop and thus can give the event the attention it deserves. Just imagine having a wedding around Valentines Day, Mothers Day or Christmas!
Since launching the business Jades Flower Design have had weddings featured in various national publications as well as on TV (Living TV – Four Weddings and Discovery Home & Health). She is well known as an innovative designer with many top event planners using her services.
