Aniela was recommended by Bernadette Chapman at Dream Occasions. and I was so excited to be working in a Tipi – it was the first time that I had decorated one.

Aniela’s whole them was very natural with garden style flowers. Aniela was keen to have lots of warm dramatic colours with a bohemian twist. We worked hard on the colour scheme and came up with the idea of using all shades of blues and purples with touches of cerise pink which we achieved by wrapping cerise ribbon around the poles of the tipi keeping the flowers to blues and purples. We decided to use coloured table linen which worked wonderfully with the dramatic colours of the table arrangements.

The ceremony took place in a fantastic old barn which is rented out as guest accommodation so the wedding took place amongst four poster beds which was quite unusual and really interesting. Aniela and Daniel were keen to have afternoon tea at the barn before heading back to the Tipi so tables with crisp linen and lace table clothes were laid out on the lawn with stands of cakes and sandwiches. Aniela made lots of paper birds to hang in the trees which fluttered in the wind. Pretty china cups and saucers were hired in and it was a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon.

The wedding party and guests then headed back to the Tipi which created the most wonderful line on the horizon – it was one of the strangest sights I had seen – a thatched cottage with 4 enormous tipis in the garden.
